Ather has unveiled its latest innovation, Ather Stack 7, at the Ather Community Day 2025 in Bengaluru. This new operating system brings a host of advanced features, leveraging data collected over 760 crore kilometres from 4.5 lakh customers, to elevate the electric scooter riding experience.
One of the standout features of Ather Stack 7 is the Pothole Alert system. By analysing extensive data, the OS provides real-time information on potholes and poor road conditions in major cities, including New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. Riders using the new Ather Halo helmet will receive voice commands, guiding them to avoid hazardous routes or proceed with caution.
The Park Safe feature ensures riders are aware of parking restrictions. Ather Stack 7 sends notifications to the rider’s phone—and voice alerts—if the scooter is parked in tow zones or no-parking areas. This feature helps riders avoid fines and inconvenience, especially when parking signs are hard to spot.
Traction Control is designed to enhance safety during adverse weather conditions. The system proactively prompts riders to change traction modes based on weather changes, delivering these prompts via voice commands and dashboard displays. This feature is particularly useful during rainy conditions, ensuring a safer ride.
Ather Stack 7 simplifies navigation by understanding colloquial language. Unlike previous systems that required specific commands, this OS recognises everyday phrases such as “Let’s go to the gym” or “Take me to the closest mall”. This intuitive system makes operating the navigation function effortless for users.
For cricket enthusiasts, Ather Stack 7 offers live cricket match updates while riding. When the scooter is stopped, riders can even watch the match on the dashboard display. This feature combines convenience with entertainment, keeping fans connected to their favourite sport.
Loaded with innovative features, Ather Stack 7 promises to significantly enhance the riding experience, blending safety, convenience, and entertainment in one robust package.
