BYD India has introduced the Sealion 7 ‘First Anniversary Edition’, marking one year since the launch of this popular electric SUV. This special edition goes beyond simple aesthetic upgrades, offering substantial customer benefits at no extra cost.
The First Anniversary Edition comes with a complimentary 11 kW home charger, complete with installation. Buyers will also receive two extra years of free service and maintenance, along with an extended warranty. Specifically, the Low-Voltage Battery (LVB) now carries an 8-year or 150,000 km warranty, up from the standard 6-year or 150,000 km coverage. This LVB supports the SUV’s auxiliary systems, while the main 82.6 kWh high-voltage LFP battery retains its existing 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.
The Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition is available in two variants: Premium and Performance. The Premium variant is priced at ₹49.40 lakh, while the Performance variant costs ₹54.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can book their unit starting today with a token amount of ₹70,000. However, this offer is limited—it’s available only to the first 1,100 customers or until April 30, 2026, whichever comes first.
Both variants share the same 82.6 kWh battery, but differ in their drivetrain setups. The RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) version delivers 331 bhp and a range of 567 km per charge. In contrast, the AWD (All-Wheel Drive) variant produces 520 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque, with a range of 540 km on a single charge.
While the performance and warranty have seen improvements, the interior and exterior design remain largely unchanged. The First Anniversary Edition introduces a striking Tahiti Blue interior colour theme, enhancing the ocean-inspired cabin aesthetics. The SUV still boasts a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, quilted Nappa leather seats, and a panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade. Additional luxury features include 12 Dynaudio speakers, ventilated and heated seats, and a 50 W wireless phone charger.
The BYD Sealion 7 has already made a mark in the automotive industry, recently winning the Premium EV of the Year Award at the car&bike Awards 2026, reinforcing its position as a top-tier electric SUV in the market.
