Mahindra Electric has addressed growing concerns from BE 6 Batman Edition owners regarding the model's exclusivity. The automaker recently announced an additional production run of 999 units for the 2026 model year, following initial reactions from the community.
Originally launched on August 14, 2025, the BE 6 Batman Edition was first limited to just 300 units. However, two days before order books opened on August 23, Mahindra increased the production figure to 999 units, citing overwhelming interest from fans, collectors, and enthusiasts. These 999 vehicles made up the entire 2025 production run of the special edition.
The announcement of another 999 units for 2026 has led to mixed responses online—particularly from current owners who expected the edition to remain strictly exclusive to the initial batch. Many have expressed disappointment on social media that the rarity of the model may be diminished.
In response, Mahindra emphasized that the original 999 customers will retain their unique status. The company stated, “The original 999 owners will always remain the founding owners of this story, with only them having secured the car with individually numbered badges, at a special launch price.” Mahindra clarified that the new 999 units represent a separate 2026 production batch, not an extension of the original group. The brand also hinted at exploring more special editions in 2027.
Interested buyers can place orders for the new 2026 batch on a single-day opening, March 10, 2026. Mahindra has confirmed that referrals from existing Batman Edition owners will receive priority delivery. The first deliveries for the new batch are expected to begin on April 10, 2026.
The price for the 2026 BE 6 Batman Edition has been adjusted upward. The new units will carry a price tag of ₹28.49 lakh (ex-showroom)—a ₹70,000 increase from the ₹27.79 lakh price of the 2025 batch. Compared to the standard BE 6 model, the Batman Edition now commands a premium of ₹1.59 lakh.
Despite the new production run, the BE 6 Batman Edition retains its high-performance specifications. It continues to feature the large 79 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 682 km. Power comes from a single motor producing 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, matching the standard BE 6 Pack Three trim.
The Batman Edition stands out with exclusive design elements inspired by the iconic superhero. The exterior wears a sleek satin black finish, complemented by Batman-themed decals on the front doors, 20-inch alloy wheels, and gold-finished suspension components and brake calipers. A ‘Dark Knight Limited Edition’ badge sits at the rear, while the Infinity roof displays the Bat emblem.
Inside, the cabin features charcoal leather instrument panels, suede and leather upholstery, gold accents, and Batman emblems throughout. The model also includes a specially designed key fob, enhancing the premium and exclusive feel of the special edition.
